ROPES Facilitator & Team Building training & Certification
Radius Pro 9 is our team building training and certification. We use ROPES as our basis for developing our team building methodology and approach. ROPES is based an experiential learning paradigm. It is a powerful way to help team’s interact with the dynamics of their team as well as to process and gain deep insights for improvement and change. Our team building programs are more than activities that your team engages in, they are opportunities for each member of the team to learn more about themselves and the others on their team. The experiences are designed to help them see the various dynamics that are at work within their team. They are also crafted to help build faith and confidence to solve problems and overcome obstacles.
We will train you to use ROPES and our team building tools to develop programs and challenges that will foster teamwork and growth. Whether you are a coach needing tools and insights to help the groups and teams you coach or you are leader of a team, this training will provide you with invaluable resources.
Collaboration
Facilitators act as a guide that helps their clients and team members achieve their goals and live their dreams. They use their experience and the insights that they have to help them make decisions that will allow them to realize those goals and dreams. They have a variety of tools they use to help each person discover and develop solutions to the problems and challenges they are facing. Even though the ultimate decisions and work is done by the client, the guidance of the coach plays an invaluable part in them getting to where they are going.
Conflict Resolution
Facilitators provide support for their clients by first believing in them, and then helping them believe in themselves. Many times, people need someone to be present during the difficult and challenging aspects of their journey. This support can range from listening to being a sounding board for each of their clients. This aspect of coaching is more about their disposition and attitude towards their clients and what they are attempting to do. Support allows people to take the risks that are associated with doing things that are new and different.

One of the big reasons for finding a coach is to get and stay motivated. Facilitators encourage and inspire their clients through the various phases of their journey. They share stories that are meant to inspire them towards the greatness that is in them. They point to the potential that is dormant within and encourage them to be the best version of themselves. Team building + coaching
Team building activities allow teams to see how they work together. It also gives them a place to get better at the skills they lack or are weak in. They will be able to diagnose and gain insights as to grow and develop as a team. They allow them to experience the dynamics that are in operation and better understand how they contribute to the team’s culture and capacities. This in turn creates a place where they can discuss what they feel and how they have come to the point they are at. They can then move towards the goal of becoming a better team by implementing those insights into their daily interactions.

Experiential Learning
One of the most powerful coaching methods and tools in the world.
Experiential learning is the process of learning through experience, and is more specifically defined as “learning through reflection on doing”.
The Experiential Learning Model
“Experiential learning takes place when a person is involved in an activity, looks back and evaluates it, determines what was useful or important to remember and uses this information to perform”
What I hear, I forget, What I see, I remember, what I do, I understand
We use team building exercises called challenges and experiential learning principles to help teams identify the areas they need to work on. Each challenge ends with what we call a circle where we spend time processing what happened during the challenge. This allows us to extract the things that were learned and it allows each person to interact with each other to build strong relationships.
Coaches create or use preset challenges designed to create opportunity for individuals and teams to work together and then facilitate a conversation that reflects on what took place during the challenge. A course is usually a collection of challenges designed around a theme. The theme can focus on a specific skill set or set of abilities all the way to any area that can be experienced through the challenge. Challenges are done in safe ways, both physically and emotionally. The coach gets to observe the group and see the individual and group dynamics at work and leads them into a discussion about what they experienced and learned, and how it is applicable to what they are experiencing day to day as a team. The course is designed in a way that allows each challenge to build on the previous one, giving the team an opportunity to not only learn but also apply what they learned to achieve the next level. There is also an opportunity for rapid growth and development.

Learning to engage in meaningful conversation around the work you are doing as a team is priceless. It is the means for getting everyone onboard and making sure that each person is able to contribute in meaningful ways. The more people on your team develop the skill to share and listen, the more powerful your team will be. This capacity and competency is at the core of all great teams and abilities to achieve great results with others. Radius Pro 9 creates the framework for your team to learn to engage one another in order to do the work. It also creates the opportunity to address the underlying issues hindering your forward movement. People will open up like they never thought they could. This is the beginning and the crux of true team building.
